Studying mountain biodiversity across borders: UNITA’s Blended Intensive Programme at the University of Turin

The University of Turin welcomed students from across the UNITA Alliance for the Blended Intensive Programme “Biodiversity in Mountain Ecosystems”, combining international collaboration, fieldwork in the Italian Alps, and laboratory research. The programme offered participants hands-on experience in ecological monitoring while strengthening their understanding of environmental sustainability and biodiversity conservation.

Professor Marina Marchisio Conte represented UNITA at IEEE DEMOcon 2026 – Digital Education and MOOCs Conference, presenting the Alliance’s achievements in digital education, the Digital Campus, and micro-credentials. The conference also featured contributions from several European University Alliances, highlighting the growing importance of inter-alliance cooperation in shaping the future of higher education.
