The Université d’Abomey-Calavi (Benin), founded in 1970, is a leading institution in West Africa that educates thousands of students each year, actively contributing to the scientific and economic development of Benin.

The university consists of 19 institutions and six campuses. It offers numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programs across different locations throughout the country. It is a member of the Association of African Universities and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie.
The Université d’Abomey-Calavi (UAC) is a public academic institution whose mission is to train managers, contribute to scientific research, and support the development of the national economy.

UAC is an internationally oriented university that provides high-quality human resources and research outputs tailored to the development needs of Benin and other nations.

University research at UAC is carried out by several specialized laboratories within its Doctoral Schools, in order to ensure the university’s scientific progress and contribute to addressing the country’s socio-economic and cultural challenges.

The Université d’Abomey-Calavi is part of the Geminae network of the UNITA Alliance. The programme aims to strengthen international academic cooperation in all continents through the exchange of best practices in teaching, research, mobility and governance, contributing to the development of more inclusive, sustainable and globally connected higher education systems.
