For more than five decades, the Catholic University of Colombia, based in Bogotá, has been committed to educating professionals and generating knowledge guided by a human-centred vision. For the second consecutive year, the Catholic University of Colombia has been included in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, one of the world’s leading international rankings assessing how universities contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This achievement reflects the University’s continuous efforts to promote sustainable development through responsible governance, the protection of human rights, the strengthening of a culture of peace, ethical institutional practices and inclusive educational policies. The ranking also acknowledges initiatives that improve access to higher education by supporting students from diverse social and geographical backgrounds.
Internationalisation is another strategic pillar of the University’s development. Through its Office of International and Interinstitutional Affairs, the institution coordinates partnerships with higher education institutions worldwide, fostering academic cooperation, scientific collaboration and international mobility.
Among its international collaborations, the Catholic University of Colombia is an active member of the GEMINAE network, developed within the framework of the UNITA Alliance. Through GEMINAE, the University collaborates with European and international partners to exchange good practices in teaching, research, governance and internationalisation, contributing to stronger academic cooperation across continents.
