International Mountain Day in UNIBS: UNITA and CAI Brescia between Science and Art

On International Mountain Day (11 December), the University of Brescia hosted an event organized by UNITA – Universitas Montium and CAI Brescia to explore climate change impacts on mountain environments. Combining science, personal experiences, cinema, and photography, the event featured Andrea Zatta, creator of the Ice Stupa Kanskhar Project and The Ice Builders documentary, in conversation with glacier expert Professor Roberto Ranzi. Opened by CAI Brescia President Renato Veronesi, the evening aimed to raise awareness of the climate crisis and concluded with the opening of the photographic exhibition “The Last Days – Adamello”, showcasing the retreat of alpine glaciers.
