Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí (UASLP) is one of the largest, most important, and oldest universities in Mexico. The university has a community of more than 33,000 students, 15 faculties, and over 105 degree programmes. It obtained its autonomy in 1923 and is now recognized nationwide as one of Mexico’s leading higher education institutions.

Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí is a public institution whose mission is to educate graduates, professionals, scientists, humanists, and academics according to a model of social responsibility, fostering an informed and global outlook, entrepreneurship, and ethical values. It is also committed to generating, applying, promoting, and disseminating knowledge and culture in order to contribute to a strong university education and to the advancement of science, the arts, the humanities, and technology.

In this way, it contributes ethically to the development of a cohesive, democratic, multicultural, and knowledge-based society, as well as to addressing global challenges, promoting the social development of the country—particularly the State of San Luis Potosí—and preserving and disseminating the values and culture of the State at local, regional, and national levels.
