The State University of Moldova (USM) is the first higher education institution established in the Republic of Moldova with university status. Founded on October 1, 1946, as Chisinau State University, it has progressively developed into a major national centre for higher education, scientific research, and academic cooperation.

The University of Turin hosted the UNITA Challenge Arena 2026, bringing together nine finalist teams from five European countries. Building on ten local challenges involving nearly 580 students and researchers, the event showcased innovative solutions to real-world problems. An international jury selected the winning team, which will continue its journey at Slush 2026 in Helsinki.

The University of Turin promotes the organization of six UNITA Winter Schools dedicated to community building and linked to the six UNITA Research Hubs, bringing together students, researchers, academics and professional staff from across the Alliance. Combining scientific excellence with the principles of science diplomacy, the initiative aims to foster international collaboration, interdisciplinary dialogue and evidence-based approaches to addressing today’s global challenges.
