Don't miss the international seminar “Twin Connections of Digital Cultural Heritage: Building Bridges between Documentation, Analysis, and Education, from Satellite to Field,” in the Aula Magna of the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras at the University of Zaragoza on September 30, October 1, and October 22, 2025. Workshops and conferences will be held during the three days of the conference, led by professionals from the universities of the UNITA alliance. Some of the most eagerly awaited lectures include: “An evaluative framework for heritage education: deriving indicators from the National Plan” by Amaia Arriaga (Public University of Navarra) and “3D Digital Mapping Techniques for the Documentation of Cultural Heritage Sites with a Digital Twin Approach” by G. Vassena (University of Brescia). The Universidad de Zaragoza and the Universidad Pública de Navarra in Spain, the Università degli Studi di Brescia and the Università degli Studi di Torino in Italy, and the Universitatea Transilvania din Brașov in Romania are collaborating on this project, which takes a multidisciplinary approach encompassing architecture, archaeology, engineering, education, geographical sciences, and legal aspects. In addition, it encourages the participation of cultural institutions, businesses, and society to achieve social impact, accessibility, and inclusion. HerOn represents a step forward in the digital management of European heritage, promoting innovation, knowledge, and sustainability.

3rd CALL for application for HORIZON 2020 MSCA-Cofund Choral PhD 14 Marie Skłodowska ‐ Curie Positions for Early Stage Researchers in Cultural Heritage in 6 universities within the UNITA Alliance  Offer Description As part of the UNITA Alliance, 14 excellent Doctoral Candidates (DCs) will enrol the CHORAL programme in Cultural Heritage. Coordinated by the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, CHORAL (Cultural Heritage Outreach in RomAnce Languages) is a Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska Curie programme co-funded by the European Union. This prestigious programme is linked to the Cultural Heritage Hub, an international research network within the Alliance, which structures its research ecosystem facing cultural related challenges. About the CHORAL Programme CHORAL aims to train high-quality international researchers and to nurture the development of interdisciplinary, international and inter-sectoral research that addresses any aspect of Cultural Heritage. While rooted in cultural heritage, the program spans a wide range of scientific domains, including architecture, anthropology, arts and culture, computer science, history, literature, linguistics, management, musicology and more. The event “Towards the European Degree” will take place on Thursday, 27 November 2025 from 9:00 to 17:00 CET. This event, co-organized by UNITA and CIVIS alliances, will bring together representatives of the European Commission, university alliances, higher education networks, and quality assurance agencies. It will address the future Joint European Degree Label, a key initiative within the EU’s higher education strategy. Given its policy relevance and long-term implications for universities, students, and transnational learning, the event is of significant interest. Virtual Roundtable - Women and Girls in UNITA Science UNITA joins the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11 February) this year by organizing the virtual roundtable “Women and Girls in UNITA Science”. The event will bring together women researchers and scientists from different universities within the Alliance to discuss the role and importance of women in the scientific field.   Università di Brescia is pleased to welcome you to the UNITA Matching Event on European Citizenship, taking place on Monday 16, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 February 2026, in Brescia, Italy. From 16 to 18 February, the Università di  Brescia will host the Matching Event  “Fundamental Rights and European Citizenship”, within the framework of the UNITA Alliance. On 16 February, the opening conference “European Citizenship at a Crossroads. Fundamental Rights between Complexity and Transdisciplinarity” will take place. Between 10 and 12 March, Instituto Politécnico da Guarda (IPG) will host UNITA Week 2026, the Alliance’s most important annual meeting and working event. Representatives from all the universities that make up UNITA will meet for three intensive days of work to assess the project’s progress and establish future strategies for consolidating the Alliance.
