Between 10 and 12 March, Instituto Politécnico da Guarda (IPG) will host UNITA Week 2026, the Alliance’s most important annual meeting and working event. Representatives from all the universities that make up UNITA will meet for three intensive days of work to assess the project’s progress and establish future strategies for consolidating the Alliance.

UVT Erasmus International Teaching Week: 20-24 April 2026 Timisoara (Romania) Universitatea de Vest din Timişoara/ West University of Timișoara has announced its 2nd edition of the Erasmus International Teaching Week: 20-24 April 2026, taking place in Timișoara, Romania. West University of Timișoara (WUT) is the main higher education and research center in Western Romania. It is a comprehensive university that fosters interdisciplinary education within its 12 Faculties: Arts and Design; Chemistry, Biology, Geography; Economics and Business Administration; Law; Letters, History, Philosophy and Theology; Computer Science; Music and Theatre; Physical Education and Sports; Physics and Mathematics; Governance and Communication Studies; Sociology and Social Work, Psychology and Education Sciences. The Erasmus International Week targets academic staff members from WUT’s partner universities interested in: West University of Timisoara and the European Alliance UNITA, teaching at WUT, exploring new teaching methods and opening up avenues of collaboration with colleagues at WUT and other participants to the event. The University Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) will host the Matching Event on Citizen Science on 28 and 29 April, bringing together researchers from the alliance’s partner universities. The theme of this event is participatory science and research. Participatory science and research are forms of scientific knowledge production in which civil society actors actively and deliberately participate alongside researchers, either individually or collectively. Participatory science therefore involves citizens in the production of knowledge
On 28 and 29 April, the Public University of Navarre (UPNA) will host the ICTU event: Internationalization of Curricula through UNITA, which will bring together staff from the different UNITA universities to work on the development of joint degree programmes among the alliance’s institutions.
A collaborative academic event organized by students within the framework of the UNITA Alliance. The goal is to create a vibrant space where researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world can exchange ideas, discuss recent scientific advances, and build meaningful professional bridges. Across three days, participants will engage in keynote lectures from internationally recognized scholars, interactive workshops, poster sessions, round tables, and structured networking events designed to foster long-term academic partnerships. Within the framework of UNITA Task Team 2.1, the University of Turin has promoted the UNITA Matching Event “UNITO–SUISM Games & University Life”, an international initiative aimed at fostering international exchange, psychophysical well-being, sport, student welfare, and interdisciplinary collaboration among partner universities. The event will take place from 26 to 29 May 2026, and two students from each university will participate.
