Building a Research Community Across Borders: UniTo Researchers Showcase the Impact of UNITA Starting Grants

More than 70 researchers and academics from the University of Turin gathered on 16 June for the event “UniTo Research Community in UNITA: Outcomes and Impact of the Starting Grants”. The initiative showcased the results of the Starting grants involving UniTo faculties and researchers and highlighted the role of the alliance in fostering international collaboration, building research networks, and creating a vibrant scientific community across Europe.

From Campuses to Communities: UNITA at the 3rd FOREU4ALL workshop

UNITA played a key role in FOREU4ALL Workshop 3, “From Campuses to Communities”, bringing together 250 participants from 58 European University Alliances at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Through discussions, workshops, and collaborative design activities, participants explored how alliances can strengthen engagement, foster a sense of belonging, and create more connected academic communities

The Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) located in the state of Minas Gerais, is a public Brazilian higher education institution with around 20,000 students and over 1,200 full professors. Founded in 1926, UFV is ranked between the 100 best universities in the world in the areas of Agriculture and Forestry, by the QS World University Rankings, with several graduate programs ranked at international level. UFV is partner of UNITA through the Geminae programme.

Brașov@Home Event Explores Migration and European Identity on Europe Day

On 7 May 2026, the Faculty of Sociology and Communication of Transilvania University of Brașov organized an event at Casa Mureșenilor Museum celebrating Europe Day, exploring migration and European identity through the “Brașov@Home” exhibition. Over 100 students from Sociology, HR, Social Work and Digital Media reflected on belonging and intercultural dialogue. Through migrant life stories of people who made Brașov home, participants engaged in interactive reflections on “What does home mean?”. The event is part of UNITA Task 2.5 European Identity and Citizenship activities.
