UniTo and UNITA women protagonists of science meet students

More than 70 high school students attended the event “Le Montagne dove non te le aspetti: le Donne esploratrici e protagoniste della Scienza,” held at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Turin. The initiative was part of the celebration activities by UNITA of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The first guardians of memory – Burials in the Paleolithic –

The exhibition The First Guardians of Memory. Burials in the Paleolithic opened on Friday, January 23, at the Multicultural Center of Transilvania University of Brașov. Produced by the University of Turin, through its Museum Sistem (particularly the Luigi Rolando Human Anatomy Museum), the exhibition brings together an outstanding collection of casts of Paleolithic graves and is part of a traveling exhibition program presented by universities within the UNITA Alliance. Through casts and documentary materials, visitors are invited to explore the funerary rituals of early human communities. The exhibition is open to the public until March 6, 2026.
Matching Event on European Citizenship
Università di Brescia is pleased to welcome you to the UNITA Matching Event on European Citizenship, taking place on Monday 16, Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 February 2026, in Brescia, Italy. From 16 to 18 February, the Università di Brescia will host the Matching Event “Fundamental Rights and European Citizenship”, within the framework of the UNITA Alliance. On 16 February, the opening conference “European Citizenship at a Crossroads. Fundamental Rights between Complexity and Transdisciplinarity” will take place. The conference will be held in person and will be open only to participants registered for the UNITA Matching Event. Do you think you know your rights as a European citizen? Workshop on ‘European identity and citizenship’ at Liceul Teoretic Periam

On 17 December 2025, a UNITA workshop on Identity and European Citizenship was held at the Periam Theoretical High School with 11th and 12th grade students from the socio-humanities track. The event explored European identity, feelings of belonging, and students’ perceptions of the European Union, drawing on Eurobarometer data and interactive discussions. A key focus was placed on EU citizens’ rights, including freedom of movement, study, work, voting, and non-discrimination, illustrated through practical, locally relevant examples. The workshop concluded with a quiz to assess students’ understanding of European citizenship.

UNITA Days at UNITBV

The “UNITA Days” event, organized on November 5, 2025, by Transilvania University of Brașov, was dedicated to promoting international mobility opportunities and the programs of the UNITA University Alliance among students. The event combined informative presentations, experience-sharing sessions, and practical workshops designed to familiarize participants with UNITA’s mission, benefits, and application procedures. Students explored peer experiences within UNITA, learned about European career opportunities, and received hands-on guidance on preparing Europass CVs, motivation letters, and mobility applications. Interactive activities, including quizzes, competitions, and a treasure hunt, encouraged active participation, teamwork, and creativity. Overall, the event supported students’ academic and professional development by enhancing their awareness of international opportunities within the European higher education context.
USMB Hosts a UNITA Staff Week on Intercomprehension and Linguistic Heritage

From 24 to 28 November 2025, Université Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) hosted in Chambéry the UNITA Staff Week “Linguistic Paths of Savoie: Intercomprehension and Cultural Heritage”. Organised in collaboration with Transilvania University of Brașov (Romania) and the University of Turin (Italy), the event brought together university staff from the UNITA alliance to explore innovative approaches to plurilingualism, intercomprehension and the valorisation of cultural and territorial heritage through pedagogical and immersive activities.
