UBI · University of Beira Interior

The University of Beira Interior (UBI) is an academic institution that combines quality teaching and research with the best aspects of academic tradition. Founded in 1986, it operates in the central region of Portugal, serving as a driver of regional development, while focusing on internationalization, student training and the promotion of projects and partnerships with a global impact. UBI is structured into five faculties (Arts and Letters, Sciences, Health Sciences, Social and Human Sciences, and Engineering), which offer licenciate’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as non-degree courses. These faculties are also home to several research units, whose work has placed the academy in important international rankings.
