After a postdoc at Princeton University, he became an associate professor at Rennes 1 in 1998, then full professor at Universit\u00e9 Savoie Mont Blanc in 2008, joining LAMA, the Mathematics Laboratory (UMR 5127 CNRS\u2013USMB). A probabilist and specialist in stochastic analysis, his research focuses on backward stochastic differential equations, their connections to finance and PDEs, and numerical methods. He co-led the MEEF master\u2019s program, directed LAMA (2014\u20132018), contributed to Hc\u00e9res evaluations (2016\u20132018), and has been Deputy Scientific Director at CNRS-INSMI since 2018.
