EUCIT-ID, Understanding European Identity Through Reflexion on European Citizenship<\/strong><\/h4>

EUCIT-ID aims at offering to UNITA students two courses about European citizenship and identity<\/strong>. Courses are delivered online, in English, and are interdisciplinary, such as the topic.<\/p>

The first course (1st edition March-July 2025) is meant to Bachelor students and aims at giving a broad initiation to what are European citizenship and European identity and what they mean. It is developed through 4 modules (5 hours teaching and training each): Law, History, Economy, Sustainable Development.<\/p>

The second course (opened in September 2025) is rather meant to Master students and aims at going further into the topic. It focuses on more specific issues and his purpose is to give some insight on how European citizenship is concerned by this or that field, or challenged by it, or is an incentive to make progress in this or that field. The course is organised around ten \u2018capsules\u2019 equivalent to two hours of lessons and relies upon human and social sciences such as Law, History or Economy.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Here are some examples of the scheduled \u201ccapsules\u201d: the European citizen and academic freedom, the European citizen and digital technology, trade negotiations by the EU, the European citizen and public health, how the 1970s set up the agenda for today\u2019s Europe\u2026<\/p>

The different modules are taught by teachers from various UNITA universities and both courses are offered to UNITA students, which fosters the building-up of UNITA community. The validation of the course is recognised by a certificate or by ECTS when the course is part of the curriculum of the student.<\/p>
