It brings together twelve higher education institutions located in rural, mountainous, and cross-border regions in southern, western, and central-eastern Europe, which share similar challenges.<\/p><p>The Alliance comprises a community of over <strong>250,000 students and 22,000 staff members<\/strong>, including faculty and researchers.<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"qodef-e-title-holder\">\n\t<span class=\"qodef-e-title\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"qodef-e-number\">\n\t\t2.\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tWhat is the European Universities Initiative?\t<\/span>\n\t<\/h3>\n<div class=\"qodef-e-content\">\n\t<div class=\"qodef-e-content-inner\">\n\t\t<p><a href=\"https:\/\/education.ec.europa.eu\/education-levels\/higher-education\/european-universities-initiative\/about\">The European Universities initiative<\/a> is an ambitious EU initiative aimed at establishing alliances between higher institutions from all across Europe that will <strong>make the European university landscape even stronger<\/strong>, for the benefit of their students, staff and society.
