15 projects<\/strong> have been selected in the framework of the UNITA Starting Grants for Research<\/strong> on cultural heritage and green energy for a sustainable future, involving faculty members and researchers from ten<\/strong> partner universities<\/strong> within the UNITA Alliance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These initiatives bring together international research groups composed of scholars, post-docs, and PhD students, focusing on Cultural Heritage<\/strong> and Green Energies<\/strong>. The goal is to strengthen transnational academic collaboration and promote innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call, launched to encourage the creation of new projects or the consolidation of existing collaborations, requires participation from at least three UNITA universities<\/strong> per proposal and has a maximum duration of 12 months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten projects<\/strong> have been selected within the Cultural Heritage<\/strong> field, addressing topics such as the enhancement of intangible heritage<\/strong>, multilingual rural literature<\/strong> (Literature about\/in the village<\/em>), the use of digital tools for sustainable tourism<\/strong> (Smart Rural Heritage<\/em>), and the historical memory of conflicts<\/strong> (Sharing historical interpretations of rural heritage<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five projects<\/strong> have been approved in the Green Energies<\/strong> category, focusing on innovative themes such as bioelectrochemical systems for sustainable hydrogen production<\/strong> (BIOHYDROMILL<\/em>), energy self-sufficiency for isolated rural activities<\/strong> (IDEA-ERA<\/em>), and energy-conscious communities in mountainous regions<\/strong> (Redefining sobriety in mountainous areas<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These projects mark a significant step forward in building a shared research network<\/strong> among European universities in the UNITA Alliance, with a strong impact on local communities<\/strong> and the challenges of ecological and cultural transition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new edition<\/strong> of the UNITA Starting Grants for Research<\/strong> is open until May 12, 2025<\/strong>, for projects in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
