
Are you interested in sustainability, innovation, and real-world industrial challenges?
UNITA – Universitas Montium invites students belonging to the UNITA network to take part in the WoW – Work on What Matters – Students’ Challenge, organized in collaboration with the University of Turin, Edison and Michelin, within the Accelerating Innovation project supported by the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo.
This international challenge offers students the opportunity to work on concrete company-led problems and to design innovative, impactful solutions in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
PLEASE NOTE: The Challenges will be conducted in Italian and will be held mostly in person.
Why participate
- Students may apply individually and/or as part of a team. Participants will have the opportunity to:
- work in multidisciplinary teams with students from the University of Turin;
- interact and collaborate with industry professionals and experts;
- develop innovative and concrete project ideas;
- strengthen entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills;
- obtain an Open Badge;
- compete for awards offered by the partner companies.
The WOW Students’ Challenges:
Edison Students’ Challenge
Design an innovative intervention for the remediation and redevelopment of a polluted river system, aimed at improving water quality and the surrounding ecosystem. The challenge focuses on integrating sustainability, effective technologies, and citizen engagement, transforming an environmental issue into an opportunity for territorial development.
Michelin Students’ Challenge
Design smart solutions to reduce errors in tire production, improving product quality and safety through reliable systems that are cost-effective and easily scalable across multiple production plants.
