Online professional development workshops for educators  

UNITA’s Teaching and Learning Centre Network offers a series of online professional development workshops designed specifically for educators.

Students sharing knowledge

The trainings focus on:

  • improving teaching effectiveness through evidence-based techniques and student-centered learning
  • updating on innovative pedagogies that incorporate the latest in digital learning and educational trends
  • creating opportunities for cross-cultural collaboration to exchange insights and best practices with educators from across Europe.


Spring 2026 online training programme

In a rapidly evolving academic environment, continuous professional development has become essential for creating engaging, inclusive, and future-oriented learning experiences. With this in mind, the UNITA Teaching and Learning Centre Network is pleased to launch its Spring 2026 online training programme dedicated to faculty and staff across the alliance.

This series of workshops has been designed to support educators in exploring innovative teaching practices, integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence into academic activities, and strengthening international and intercultural collaboration. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with colleagues from different European universities while reflecting on current challenges and opportunities in higher education.

We warmly encourage all interested faculty members  to explore the catalogue and join this inspiring learning journey.

Course offerings cover the following areas:

  • digital tools
  • learner-centered pedagogy
  • collaborative international online learning (COIL)
  • European citizenship
  • inclusive education.

Courses begin on November 5th, 2024 and continue throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.

The programme covers a wide range of timely and relevant topics, including:

  • AI tools for teaching and research;
  • digital storytelling and creative learning approaches;
  • inclusive and accessible course design;
  • Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL);
  • service learning and community engagement;
  • chatbots and AI-supported teaching practices;
    innovative pedagogies and evidence-based learning approaches.
  • Beyond the practical knowledge and resources offered, these trainings represent an opportunity to become part of a broader European community committed to educational innovation, inclusion, and excellence.
  • All sessions will be held online, and participation is free of charge. As the number of places is limited, colleagues are kindly encouraged to register only for the sessions they are able to attend and to complete registration at least three days before each training session.
