Our Geminae partners: Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires – Shaping the Future of Technology, Engineering, and Management

Founded in 1959, the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) is Argentina’s private university specialized in Technology, Engineering, and Management. With over six decades of academic excellence, research leadership, and international collaboration, ITBA prepares innovative, entrepreneurial professionals committed to transforming society and driving sustainable development at both national and global levels.

Established on November 20, 1959, the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) stands as Argentina’s only private university exclusively dedicated to Technology, Engineering, and Management. For more than 60 years, ITBA has contributed to solving humanity’s most pressing challenges through outstanding higher education, the generation of scientific knowledge, and strong international partnerships.

ITBA is deeply committed to the development of Argentina and the broader region. The university fosters professionals who are innovative, entrepreneurial, disruptive, agile, and guided by a sustainable vision—individuals with a strong vocation to transform the world.

Today, ITBA has expanded its presence with multiple campuses, including the Financial District Campus and the Technological District Campus in Buenos Aires. Its growing community of more than 11,000 alumni thrives across public and private organizations worldwide, as well as in highly successful entrepreneurial ventures.

ITBA provides a comprehensive and integrated academic offer that includes 10 undergraduate engineering and bachelor’s degree programs, 3 doctoral programs, and more than 15 master’s degrees and postgraduate specializations. Its programs are designed to combine rigorous scientific and technical training with practical application, research opportunities, and strong links to industry.

Internationalization is a cornerstone of ITBA’s strategy. The university maintains bilateral agreements with more than 80 universities worldwide. These reciprocal agreements ensure balanced student exchanges: for every student ITBA receives from a partner institution, one ITBA student has the opportunity to study abroad.
