Our Geminae partners: Universidad del Rosario (Colombia)

The Colegio del Rosario in Colombia was founded in 1653. Since its foundation, the Universidad del Rosario has been an institution “of” and “for” its students, and its life has been inseparable from that of Colombia: each has nourished and developed alongside the other. This university has six multicampus locations where a student community of 12,836 students can find innovative spaces to complement their academic activities. The university offers 41 undergraduate programs, 82 specializations, 50 master’s programs, and 10 doctoral programs.

The mission of Universidad del Rosario (Colombia) is to “offer a solid ethical, humanistic, and scientific education which, integrated with research and rigorous, high-quality teaching, enables this educational community to train individuals of excellence and to act for the benefit of society with the greatest sense of responsibility.”

Recently, this Geminae Partner was awarded during the UNITA Best Practices Awards, held at the University of Zaragoza on 4–5 September 2025, in recognition of its strong commitment to promoting democratic values, peace, human dignity, and human rights, as well as its constant focus on equality, inclusion, and active community engagement.
