In the last years, important actions regarding internationalization have been developed by the university, including efforts to increase the number of courses offered in English and to increase the number of agreements for double and joint PhD degrees with internationally recognized research institutions.
As part of these efforts towards internationalization is the participation of the UFV to the Geminae network of the UNITA Alliance, a program designed to strengthen international academic cooperation across all continents through the exchange of best practices in teaching, research, mobility, and governance, contributing to the development.
As part of the Geminae Network UFV participated to the Geminae Best Practice Award 2025 and two projects were selected.
The first project topic was the farmer’s week and its challenges, while the second one was about the scientific initiation for high school students, presenting the problems of the Brasilian’s high school system and possible solutions.
Thanks to these two projects the UFV was selected as the winner of the award, distinguishing itself as one of the excellences of the UNITA Alliance.
