FOREU4ALL – A Community of Practice for European University Alliances
FOREU4ALL is a strategic initiative that brings together all 64 European University Alliances, uniting them with Seal of Excellence consortia, policy makers, the European Commission, and external stakeholders. This collaborative project enhances the impact of Alliances by promoting knowledge sharing, joint action, and the dissemination of best practices across the European Higher Education landscape. UNITA is a member of FOREU4ALL.
While FOREU4ALL is a funded project with specific objectives and deliverables, it also represents a long-term vision for sustained collaboration among Alliances beyond the project’s lifetime.
The project features both:
- Full partners, responsible for the execution of specific tasks and financial management;
- The broader FOREU4ALL community, where all Alliances share equal responsibilities in governance and contribution.
Governance and Structure
FOREU4ALL is coordinated by a Project Management Team (PMT) and supported by a dedicated Secretariat. Strategic decisions are made during the General Forum, which gathers all Alliance coordinators.
The Forum Board—composed of 15 rotating members, each serving a one-year mandate—plays an advisory role.
An External Advisory Board provides additional insights, currently including representatives from EUA (European University Association), EURASHE, ENQA, ESU (European Students’ Union), ESN (Erasmus Student Network)
