The UNITA WP3 Annual Meeting brought colleagues from across the Alliance together in Turin to discuss the future of education. The meeting also connected the outcomes of RECIPES with the launch of ED-UNITA and the development of future European Degrees.

On 7 and 8 October 2026, the University of Turin hosted the 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗔 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗪𝗣𝟯 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, welcoming colleagues from across the Alliance for two days of discussion, coordination and networking. The meeting followed the RECIPES project event held in Brescia on 6 October, creating a direct bridge between the project’s results and UNITA’s activities in education and the internationalisation of degree programmes.

The event was opened by 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗶, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Education of the University of Turin, who welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of cooperation among UNITA universities.

Plenary and parallel sessions addressed some of the Alliance’s main educational priorities: the internationalisation of curricula, micro-credentials, digital tools for joint activities and the role of Teaching and Learning Centres in supporting innovation across UNITA institutions.

Participants also explored the 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗘𝗦 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 and its practical approaches to the internationalisation of degree programmes. The meeting provided an opportunity to begin integrating its methods and results into UNITA’s activities and to identify new opportunities for cooperation among task teams, coordinators and institutional leaders.

Another important milestone was the presentation of 𝗘𝗗-𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗔 project, selected for funding under the 𝗘𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗺𝘂𝘀+ 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹. Over the next three years, the project will support the Alliance in developing new joint programmes and advancing existing double degrees towards European Degrees, strengthening UNITA’s contribution to a more integrated European Higher Education Area.

The annual meeting confirmed the value of bringing people together to exchange knowledge, connect initiatives and transform shared ambitions into concrete action. The discussions held in Turin have laid the foundations for new tools, closer cooperation and further educational innovation across the Alliance.
