Online workshop: “AI in Education”

              On the occasion of the “AI in Education” event series featuring international keynote speaker Mary Burns, the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) of the University of Turin is pleased to invite Professors and Staff of the UNITA and Geminae Universities to this cycle of meetings dedicated to opportunities and risks of generative Artificial Intelligence in teaching. EUA Webinar Highlights New Evaluation Approach for European Universities Alliances

The European University Association (EUA) recently hosted the high level event “Evaluating European Universities Alliances with EUA’s Institutional Evaluation Programme: Supporting Strategic Leadership and Change”, bringing together university leaders, alliance coordinators, and policy experts to reflect on the expanding scope of the EUA’s Institutional Evaluation Programme (EUA-IEP) in supporting the evaluation of European Universities alliances. Building on 30 years of experience as an independent, improvement oriented quality assurance programme, EUA IEP is now extending its methodology to address the unique challenges and opportunities of multi institutional alliances. The new model introduces peer reviewed evaluations designed to strengthen alliances’ strategic leadership, change management capacity, and internal quality culture.

On February 17, 2026, the West University of Timișoara hosted a dedicated event highlighting the opportunities offered by the UNITA Alliance’s Starting Grants. The meeting showcased new directions for research and collaboration, presenting projects developed in strategic fields such as cultural heritage, green energy, circular economy, environment, digital transition, social inclusion, and global health. Bringing together researchers and partners, the event fostered academic dialogue, exchange of ideas, and the strengthening of international partnerships, reaffirming UVT’s commitment to collaborative research and sustainable development within the UNITA network. Together, we build projects with European impact.

UNITA continues to expand its European academic network with the accession of Universitatea de Stat din Moldova (USM) as a GEMINAE member

UNITA – Universitas Montium continues to expand its European academic network with the accession of Universitatea de Stat din Moldova (USM) as a member of the GEMINAE network, reinforcing UNITA’s mission to build a truly integrated European Higher Education and Research Area. The accession was formalized following the invitation of Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara, founding member of UNITA. During the institutional meetings, Vice-Rectors Octavian Madalin Bunoiu (responsible for RDI strategy, sustainability, technology transfer, and diaspora relations) and Valy Ceia (responsible for internationalization, university networks, and European institutional relations) presented the key opportunities created by UNITA membership. The topic was presented and discussed during the Board of Administration meeting of USM, chaired by Rector Igor Șarov.

From February 2 to 20, 2026, the exhibition “Destination Europe: Postcards from the UNITA Alliance” at the University Library of Pau highlights the mobility experiences of students, researchers and staff from the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (UPPA) within the UNITA Alliance. The result of several months of collaborative work, the exhibition showcases the European dimension of UNITA through testimonials, images and a rich programme of activities promoting mobility, intercultural dialogue and European citizenship.

                      On February 25, 2026, at 9.30 am CET, UNITA R&I HUB ON CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND ENVIRONMENT invites all interested PhD supervisors to a webinar concerning multidisciplinary PhD programs and co-tutelle best practices. The event is open to all PhD supervisors at the UNITA partner institutions, regardless of discipline.
