The Università di Brescia visits the Geminae Partner Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perù and the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería of Lima (UNI) to strengthen UNITA cooperation with extra-European universities

On 30 March, a delegation from the Università di Brescia — composed of the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation Policies, Prof. Roberto Ranzi, Prof. Maurizio Tira (DICATAM and EUA member), Prof. Barbara Scala (DICATAM) and Prof. Giovanna Grossi (DICATAM) — visited the Geminae UNITA partner Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perù.

The meeting represented an important opportunity to further consolidate institutional relations between the two universities, confirming their shared interest in developing new forms of academic and scientific cooperation. In this context, the Rector of PUCP, Prof. Julio del Valle Ballón, expressed the university’s willingness to be actively involved in the initiatives of the UNITA Alliance showing interest in participating, as an associated partner, in a UNITA Advanced Grant research project on renewable energies, coordinated by the Università di Brescia.

During the same visit, within the framework of the TNE HerIt4Future project, the delegation also carried out activities at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería of Lima (UNI), presenting the founding principles and core values of UNITA. The Rector, Prof. Arturo Fernando Talledo Coronado, together with the academic representatives attending the meeting, expressed strong interest in the Alliance and envisaged the possibility of establishing a fruitful future collaboration through joining the UNITA Geminae network.
