
Ramón Gonzalo
Ramón Gonzalo is a Full Professor in the Signal Theory and Communications area at the Public University of Navarre (UPNA). Among his research highlights are antenna designs for the Hispasat, Astra, and Amazonas satellites, as well as the development of terahertz (THz) technology for new imaging cameras in airports, medical imaging systems, and various types of sensors. He has directed 24 research projects, collaborated on 28 others, and participated in more than 25 R&D contracts with companies and public institutions. He is co-author of five patents and has completed research stays at leading international institutions, including the European Space Agency (Netherlands), the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (United Kingdom), and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe
(Germany). Since 2019, he has served as Rector of UPNA.
