This one-hour online workshop on Teacher Professional Development in English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) will be an opportunity to network with other lecturers who teach through English and professionals in the field of education.
The agenda has three main components. First, we will explore Current Research Initiatives on EMI Quality Assurance, providing insights into current research within the UNITA network and beyond, aimed at improving EMI. Next, we will look at EMI Challenges and Feedback from Lecturers Teaching through English, exploring real issues faced by EMI lecturers and drawing on their feedback. Finally, the workshop concludes with a Café Pédagogique, an informal and enriching discussion where participants will be able to share experiences and insights into best teaching practices. The workshop aims to deepen the understanding of lecturers’ professional development, fostering peer learning and community-building among EMI teachers.
