The European Conference « Paving the Way for European Universities » took place on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc and also online on 7/8 March 2024. It was an important step in the EGAI-UNITA project which is funded par the Erasmus + programme and implies six universities from the UNITA Alliance.
This conference was organised by the Centre de recherche en Droit Antoine Favre, the Faculty of Law of Savoie Mont Blanc University, the Savoie Mont Blanc University. It gathered 30 attendees in person and 70 online. The participants and attendees explored the legal challenges posed by the sustainibility of the European university Alliances.
This symposium brought together academics involved in European university alliances and legal researchers to reflect together on the legal challenges posed by the institutionalization of the alliances and to propose innovative legal solutions to help them establish themselves over the long term.
The « Paving the way for European Universities » symposium is a high point in the European EGAI-UNITA project, which has given rise to a number of scientific events over the past year and will end with the submission of conclusions to the European Commission. The work carried out will help lay the foundations of future leading European academic institutions.
