From 5 to 15 March, University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour, France (UPPA) had the pleasure of welcoming Deise Eclache, Director of Production from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa in Brazil.

Accompanied by the UPPA UNITA Office, the International Relations Department and the Communications Department, Ms Eclache had the opportunity to visit the different campuses, take part in events, intercomprehension courses, working meetings and discussions on internationalisation, institutional communication and scientific dissemination. These productive exchanges offer a great opportunity to develop future collaborations. These meetings were part of the UNITA Geminae network, which aims to "build solid, long-term inter-university cooperation". This network is made up of non-European Romance-language universities that are already partners of member universities of the UNITA Alliance, and currently has 30 member universities/institutions, including the University of Viçosa. Discussions were initiated at the Geminae meetings held at UPPA in September 2023. Ms Eclache's visit is a great achievement for this type of event, and provides a new opportunity to strengthen the links between UNITA and its partners outside Europe.
