UFV is a partner in the UNITA alliance's Geminae project: a network of "sister" universities based on active cooperation and exchange of best practices between UNITA universities and a number of non-European partner universities from Romance-speaking countries.
After an initial day of welcome and presentation of the UNITA alliance, the UFV delegation met with administrative staff from the international partnership area and faculty active in international collaboration projects to share knowledge and best practices on student exchanges and mobility within UNITA and with Geminae project universities.
The three guests also visited the Graf Historical Library at the Rectorate of UniTO and other places and venues of the university, such as the University Botanical Garden, where they met with faculty from the Departments of Life Sciences and Systems Biology, Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences, and Veterinary Sciences.
Participants were able to discuss topics such as double degree agreements between universities, co-tutoring of doctoral dissertations, and the design and implementation of initiatives involving mobility and communication.
Finally, they participated in a lecture on intercomprehension between Romance languages, held at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and Modern Cultures.
The next stop for the UVT delegation is the Spanish University of Zaragoza, a UNITA partner, where they will be able to further explore issues of cooperation with the Alliance.
